My name is Ebenezer Belete, and I am a PhD candidate in Learning Sciences at UNLV, with a research focus on collaborative argumentation and artificial intelligence. For the past three and a half years, I have been teaching Educational Psychology and Seminar courses to second-year undergraduate students at UNLV.
The United States is the fifth country where I have served as an educator. Before moving to the U.S. as a permanent resident—and becoming a citizen in 2024—I taught in Ethiopia (six years), the Philippines (one year), Thailand (11 years), and Malaysia (in an off-campus program). Over my long career in higher education, I have taught 27 subjects, primarily in the area of psychology and education.
In addition to teaching, I am passionate about conducting workshops and seminars, traveling, photography, and creating educational videos. My family travel videos, especially those showcasing U.S. national parks, were featured on on FOX5 Vegas in 2020.
